The Mall at Steamtown in Scranton PA hit the auction block on Monday
The mall is 22 years old and has dozens of empty store fronts… it’s a dead mall but doesn’t have to be .. perhaps the right buyer will bring life instead of forcing this into the dead mall category .. from the liked article:
“Auction.com lists the 558,816-square-foot two-story facility for a starting bid of $700,000, with a required bid deposit of $25,000. Auction.com reports the mall is 59 percent occupied.
The auction will run until June 24.
At the end of business Monday, one bid of $1 million was placed. Tyler Ley, of auction.com, would not reveal who the bidder was.”
