Born in 1980 at the then Ashland Regional Medical Center in Ashland Pennsylvania, Horror Reporter Bryan Smolock grew up for several years in the town of Centralia, Pennsylvania. The mine fire which engulfed the underground mine system forced residents from the town.
Bryan attended grade school at Holy Spirit School in Mount Carmel, PA, Immaculate Heart Elementary in Girardville, PA, and Cardinal Brennan High School in Fountain Springs, PA. All of those Catholic education centers have been shuttered in recent years due to Harrisburg and Allentown Dioceses’ cutbacks in the coal region of Pennsylvania.
Bryan married his wife Tara in 2007, and they had their first child, Ayden, in 2011.
The family dog’s name is Mutley.
Currently, Bryan resides near the Susquehanna River along the Appalachian Mountain Chain of the once famous coal region of Pennsylvania.
Among his current web endeavors, Bryan currently has two regularly updated sites.
Coal Speaker focuses on personal issues, parenting issues, and commentary of daily headlines and events. You can read the content of that site at http://www.coalspeaker.com.
Horror Report is a more off the beaten path, with information concentrating on the strange, unusual, and even macabre. The site attempts not to solve life’s true mysteries but instead bring attention to them, with the emphasis on the reader to discern truth from fraud, fact from fiction. You can read it at https://www.horrorreport.com.
The popular website ASKMEN awarded the HORROR REPORT with ‘cool site of the day’ recognition
