I promise not to post a daily review of the Art Bell DARK MATTER radio program–but with his first show premiering last night I’d be remiss not to pay attention to how it all went.
And it went great.
I’ll get this out of the way first: I am a big Art Bell fan, as if you could not tell. His show was organic, original.. amazing. And then along came Noory and Coast went to Toast.
Last night, on Sirius XM radio, Bell returned broadcasting live from the high desert, and the great American southwest..
First on the agenda: His anger about his former not defending him when he was accused of the horrid and false crime of being a child molester.. Bell opened up during the first half hour about personal issues of the past, his son being molested by a teacher with HIV and his wife Ramona passing away. Bell even mark a humorous quip that his new wife was not 13 as some online rumors have said. It was pure Art Bell: Unscripted and from the heart.
The bumper music was back.. At one point after speaking about a gamma ray burst that could destroy earth, he played DON’T FEAR THE REAPER as he went to a break.. his guest was Michio Kaku. I challenge you to listen and try to follow a physicist and a man who is a lover of science, and then try to put George Noory in Art Bell’s place. It just cannot be done.
The ‘retirements’ that Art Bell has been accused of were not retirements at all.. the long-term falling out he had with Premiere Radio is over. And now he’s free to speak on satellite radio. That means he will yet again be on nightly…his voice carrying you into the darkness of the night, the fear of the morning.. the sounds of fear and the stories of paranormal lure. Mixed in with that will be those tales of real science.
Noory can keep his snake oil salesmen and weird mermaids. DARK MATTER will have none of that.
Thanks for this post. I was actually hoping you'd do a daily run down of what happens on the show,I did not subscribe to satellite radio so I cannot hear Art Bell, I am hoping youtube videos are posted with the show, of course they will quickly be taken down probably by sirius somehow. Either way I can't stand George Noory and I am glad I am not alone.
