My 5-year-old son’s knowledge of Pokémon Go forced me to have to look more information up about this than I ever would have in the past.. The newest fad taking over media is surely fun for some, but fun gone far for others.

The amazing part to me, more than how people are being affected by the game, is the marketing! The brilliant marketing.
For four full days, Mashable has gone hardcore Pokémon Go in coverage. My Facebook news feed has been propelling through life with a constant stream of Pokémon Go .. And finally, most likely due to advertising companies listening to my family conversations through my phone and computer (don’t doubt me on that), ads popping up on websites are for .. drumroll .. Pokemon Go.
Pokémon Go uses your phone’s GPS and clock to detect where and when you are in the game and make Pokémon “appear” around you (on your phone screen) so you can go and catch them. As you move around, different and more types of Pokémon will appear depending on where you are and what time it is. The idea is to encourage you to travel around the real world to catch Pokémon in the game.
If you are searching, be aware: The original Pokémon set of characters was only about 150. Today, as the ‘Go’ search goes, the list has swelled to more than 700..
